Welcome

After successfully concluding my Fulbright in Jamaica, it's on to the next step . . . graduate school. This blog will document my journey through the M.A./Ph.D. program in Anthropology and the path toward becoming a professional archaeologist. Forgive me as the posts will likely be sporadic and at times extraneous.

Quote of the Week #5

Taken from a Chinese proverb, I came across this quote while reading RZA's newest book, The Tao of Wu. It goes a little something like this:

"When planning for a year, grow corn. When planning for a decade, grow trees. When planning for life, train and educate people."

What are we planning for?
